Household Engineering
Inspired by a class reading, I re-organize my home to increase efficiency for my mom.
The Brown House optimized!
Project Overview.
After reading Christine Frederick's Household Engineering, I was really inspired by bringing the efficiency of engineering into other spheres.
While I was home for winter break, I wanted to employ some engineering efficiency to the Brown home. I focused on not just doing a home clean out, but making things make sense for my mom.
Learnings.
I really feel like the importance of seeking feedback throughout the ideation and execution of my plans. Even though I am quite familiar with how everything in my house works, I still found that my mom did not always agree with what I proposed. This solidified that no matter how familiar I think I am with the issue at hand, feedback will always be incredibly important.
Reactions.
My mom really liked it! (as evidenced below)
